I believe
my writing has improved a lot since senior year of high school. I remember on the English regents in 11th
grade I got a 70 on it and although it is passing, I am not too proud of that. In high school, writing was boring to
me. Now, writing is still somewhat boring
but the things that we write about actually have something to do with life and
modern times. In high school, we would
have to read stories about a Chinese flute or whales, VERY boring. I like English now but it isn’t my favorite
subject. I also realized that my
vocabulary has grown. I think this
happened ever since I got my iPhone and play a game similar to Scrabble. I also noticed that I tend to repeat myself
sometimes and use the same words over and over.
I enjoy English this year and I am very happy with my teacher and
classmates. I am also glad that we don’t
have to read novels or stories every night.
